ANGEL TALK -- MOTHER EARTH
Mother Earth is no longer able to suppress her anger. The stress of raising us is killing her.
Raging fires reveal her feverish temper; torrential rains and unseasonable ice storms reflect her night sweats. Her temperature runs hot and cold. The mighty winds tell us that her breathing is heavy and labored. As she tosses and turns, struggling for relief, the earth quakes.
We are connected to our Mother Earth, and her misery is our misery. She is stressed to the breaking point. Her distress is like that of the good mother who begs her children to stop bickering or fighting, or she will give them something to complain about. In the family, Mom is the ultimate arbiter. She has the power to decide who wins or loses. We can avoid her judgment by putting down our sticks and stones, and creating the peace.
Yes, I know that I am preaching to the choir. But the others refuse to listen. So the best we can do is stay together and show Mother we are on her side. Experience tells us that the bullies either straighten up or are sent to reform school, and the well behaved students go on to college. In the spiritual realm, higher learning takes place within the stately Halls of Knowledge, those grand buildings that inspired Greek and Roman architecture.
What can we do? We in the spiritual community must keep the faith. It will not be easy, but it is simple. Follow the Golden Rule, which is the foundation of all great religions. Think great thoughts, do good deeds, and be kind to one another.
Know, beyond all doubt, that the Creator is in charge. Everything is all right. Everything has always been all right. And everything will always be all right.
